WebI hike alone at Glacier every year; I'm generally out there about 20 days and do about 5-6 hikes solo and hike with others the rest of the time. I think that I've done a total of about 50 solo day hikes since 2008. I have been uncomfortably close to a grizzly three times while hiking solo and had the bear spray out with safety off.
