Melting enthalpy for 100% crystalline
Web6 apr. 2024 · According to the literature, the energy requirement to melt a 100 percent crystalline polyethylene would be 290 J/g. To accurately measure the degree of crystallinity for a particular polyethylene, we compare the heat of fusion for the melting process to this ideal value of 290 J/g. Webmelting enthalpies, using a melting enthalpy value of 75.57 J/g for 100% crystalline PLLA [22]. The un-annealed specimens were measured at heating rates of 1-2-5-10-15-20°C/min, while the annealed specimens were measured at a heating rate of 5°C/min. WAXD analysis was done with a Philips model PW 3710 based PW 1050 Bragg-Brentano

Webglass transition (Tg),the cold crystallization (Tcc)and the melting temperature (Tm)of neat PLA were about 59.5 ºC, 128.1 ºC and 151.8 ºC respectively. The addition of talc in PLA had not changed the Tg but the Tcc of PLA/talc 10 wt% film shifted lower from 128.1 ºC of neat PLA to 102.9 ºC. Incorporation of talc induced crystallization of PLA
