Yes the D30 can handle some abuse, but a D44 gives you bigger brakes and ball joints, hubs, and high steer. So a 6 lug Waggy 44 and an I44 was a no brainer. As far as the I44, you need to change lug patterns. So that means new alloy shafts, and drilling rotors to match.

We already have a 35 spline 4140 chromoly D60 / D44 shafts availble for custom builders. These shafts work out to TJ width (60.5"). We're making some now that'll fit in a TJ/XJ housing. Again, we think this is for a very small niche market - not the average to heavy trail user.
